aluminium powder is applied as an additive for two main reasons in the prototype and product manufacturing.

• For functional reasons: since aluminium is a good heat conductor, it is used as a thermal conductor for certain plastic moulds to stabilise their desired temperature. To achieve the desired technical characteristics, several resins must be cast and kept in the mould at a constant temperature.

• For aesthetic reason: aluminium, blended, e.g. with Art Clay or epoxy resin, gives a metallic, silvery, and patina shine to the product. You can also make a product with an aluminium additive that imitates metal objects. E.g. knives, daggers, swords, and weapons.
